Ingredients:

  • 500g flour
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 packet dry yeast
  • 3 eggs
  • 100ml warm milk
  • 100g softened butter
  • ½ tsp salt

Method:

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add yeast mixture, eggs, and butter.
  3. Knead until smooth. Let rise for 1.5 hours.
  4. Divide dough into 3 strands and braid.
  5. Let rise again for 45 minutes.
  6. Brush with egg wash and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes.
